Experience the Thrill!Β

Hello & Welcome!

West Coast Radio Control Aircraft Flyers is a friendly RC flying club based at Upper Coquitlam River Park in the Tri-Cities area of Greater Vancouver, BC. Our members fly planes, helicopters, FPV drones, and experimental aircraft year-round on paved and grass runways.

We welcome newcomers of all ages with and without flight experience and we provide flight instruction, safety guidance, and a fun community with multiple social events throughout the year.Β Β

Whether you’re interested in membership or learning to fly, we’re always delighted to get to know other aviation enthusiasts and toΒ add new pilots to the roster!Β

Have a look through the gallery to see some of the planes we fly!Β  Β If you have any questions or comments, please send us a message, or come visit us at the field!Β Β

Learn To Fly!

Traditionally, enthusiasts would fly in public parks, farm fields, or rural roads. Recent Transport Canada regulations have made this practice more difficult and flying with a MAAC affiliated club like ours is the best choice for learning to fly.

Our club has several volunteers who offer their time as instructors. Whether you are interested in airplanes, helicopters, or drones, our members can help you learn to fly and navigate the new Transport Canada laws and regulations.Β

We do recommend for newcomers to fly with an experienced RC pilot to ease into the hobby and mitigate the chances for crashes.Β  It can make the difference between abandoning the hobby early or sticking with it.

For more info have a look at our page on flight training!
